Informatie over Corona en Almere

Avoid crowds, keep 1,5 meter distance 
We are able to allow each other a little bit more freedom and thereby still keep the coronavirus disease under control. It will be of most importance to keep to the basic measures implemented by the government. Please find below a fill list of all measures applicable for the coming period. 

What is the current situation downtown? 
Hotels in Almere are open for business. As per the 1st of June 2020 the measures for restaurants are lifted and therefore the restaurants and bars are open again for those who take into account the below precautions. 

What precautions are applicable? 

  • Work from home if possible.
  • Wash your hands on a regular basis.
  • Cough and sneeze into your elbow. 
  • Don’t shake hands. 
  • Use paper tissues. 
  • Fines and closure of restaurants and bars in case the precautions aren’t kept. 
  • If one person in a household shows symptoms, everyone stays indoors. 

If you have symptoms of the coronavirus disease 
If you have symptoms of the coronavirus disease like a dry cough, sneezing, tiredness and fever? Then the extra measures are applicable;   

Stay indoors. 
Limit your (social) contacts. 

Corona test 
If you have the symptoms of the coronavirus disease call the national phone number 0800 – 1202 to make an appointment to get tested on the coronavirus disease.

Events in Almere   
All events are cancelled at least until the 1st of September 2020. Please check the website of the event for additional information. Are you organizing an event in Almere? Please check the website of Almere City Marketing (in Dutch) for additional information if required.  

Changes from 1 June restaurants and bars are open from Monday June 1st.  
Restaurants and bars are open from June 1 forward. The following measures are applicable: 
 
Inside the restaurant  

  • 30 guests are allowed inside.
  • You must make a reservation.  
  • You must be seated at a table.  
  • An employee asks if you have symptoms of the coronavirus disease. 
  • If you have these complaints, you must stay at home.  
  • You must keep a distance of 1.5 meters.  

Outside on the terrace  

  • More than 30 people can sit on terraces, if there is enough space.  
  • You must be seated at a table.  
  • You must keep 1.5 meters away from other visitors.  
  • People from 1 household do not have to keep their distance.  

Cinemas, theaters and concert halls are open from the 1st of June 2020  
You can go to the movies, the theater or a concert. The following measures are applicable: 

  • 30 people can be inside.  
  • You must make a reservation.  
  • An employee asks if you have a cold. Or have a fever.  
  • If you have these complaints, you must stay at home.  

From the 1st of June 2020 , face masks are mandatory in public transport  

  • You must wear a mask in tram, bus, metro and train.  
  • This applies to everyone aged 13 and older.  
  • You can be fined € 95 if you do not wear the mask.  
  • The mask is not mandatory at stations and platforms.  
  • Only travel by bus, tram, metro and train if there is no other option.  
  • Sit as far apart as possible.  
  • Keep at a distance of 1.5 meters at a stop or on a platform
